Best Western Siesta Key Hotel 1/10

Best Western Siesta Key Hotel, an active member of Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce, provided a venue for a private painting party for 11 lively Chamber of Commerce volunteers. The hotel, which has recently completed both a gorgeous and extensive renovation, provided a wonderful atmosphere for a fun event. They are located less than a mile from Siesta Key!

We painted  Snowy Plovers (Sandpipers) running along the wet sand with small ripple waves breaking behind them. The resulting paintings were sweet! We even shot video using a GoPro camera. Making video’s is passion of mine but when I see myself, I’m embarrassed… but, oh well… I’ll act cool and then we can really laugh! :)

If you would like to host a private painting party at your location, day or evening, for young or not so young painters, friend and co-workers, check out the details…  more

We will now bring our art painting supplies to your location. Choose from many previous paintings, or suggest what you might like to pain, or even choose color scheme. Get creative and have fun painting with your friends. Host an Art Party. Everyone has fun and they take home an awesome painting.

Great class for this first time Painter. Art n Party 101 was a fast moving 3 hours! We were a big class which took more than usual time. But, it was more entertaining than any academic class. And, I may have conquered my Fear of Inept Painting! Shawn helped all of us as needed and most of us needed help! I enjoyed the challenge and will definitely paint again with Shawn’s instruction. I surprised myself in a good way! Shawn made this possible through step by step instruction. I can see this method is vital for a beginner, like myself, to create some art that I will actually hang on a wall!

Yay…our Go Pro video is up. Looks like fun, right? It was.
You must have handed that little camera to a helper at one point…but if the room and class appeared a little chaotic, that makes a statement:

Out of Chaos…there was Creation…of personal art!

I can imagine the Chamber Volunteers, a talkative bunch, being in the room with all supplies…but “No Shawn” to instruct. THAT would be Chaos! Many of us did not even know how to mix primary paint colors to create new colors. You took the beginners, like myself, from Zero to Achievment!

Shawn, congratulations on your new little painting studio and also setting up
    Art n Party…”to go.”
